On Friday, November 31, 2025, His Excellency the former Minister of Hellenic National Defense and current Civil Governor of Mount Athos, Mr. Alkiviadis Stefanis, visited the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea, accompanied by his esteemed wife, Dr. Mrs. Eupraxia Paschalidou, Secretary General of the International Committee of Military History and representative of Greece in the Seoul War Memorial’s activities concerning the Korean War.
After venerating at the holy cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Seoul and being given a tour of the Metropolis headquarters, they held a private meeting with Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan. They were briefed on the activities of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Korea and Japan and discussed ways of cooperation with Mount Athos in the divinely graced work of spreading Orthodox witness in Korea.
On Sunday, November 2, they attended the Divine Liturgy at the cathedral of Saint Nicholas and departed for Greece the same day.
