With great zeal and daily labor, the team of iconographers from Greece, together with volunteer assistants from Korea and Taiwan, are continuing into their third week of work on the iconography of the Holy Church of the Dormition of the Theotokos in Jeonju.
The work is difficult and highly demanding, since the goal from the outset was to fully adorn the entire Holy Sanctuary and the eastern part of the church with iconography. For this reason, from morning until evening, everyone can be found working on all four levels of the scaffolding, striving to master the sheer scale of the task.
Inside, the church has already begun to feel larger because of the frescoes, taking on a mystical atmosphere that draws one into prayer and doxology to God.
May it be, through the intercessions of the Most Holy Theotokos, that the work is completed by the end of July, to the great joy of the workers and the flock of the Parish.
