The First Summer Camp Session of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea

By the grace of God, the first summer camp session for elementary and middle school students began operating in Chuncheon on Monday, July 27, 2026.

The camp is named “The Vision of Holiness,” and its groups are: “Apostles” (Peter and Paul), “Equal-to-the-Apostles” (Constantine and Helen), “Martyrs” (Demetrios and Catherine), “Child-Martyrs” (Faith, Hope, and Love), “Confessors” (John of Damascus and Theophanes the Branded), “Venerable Ones” (Anthony the Great and Paisios), and Monastics (Cosmas and Damian) — each named after its patron saints. This gives all the participants the chance to live out the Gospel in practice every day, and to learn, through the lives of the Saints, the path toward holiness.

During the opening ceremony, Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea thanked the staff and the team who took on responsibility for supporting the camp’s work in the area of catering, and expressed his wish that by the end of the camp session, the desire for holiness would be kindled in the hearts of all.
