On Monday, August 11, 2025, His Eminence Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan, in his capacity as President of the National Counsil of Churches in Korea (NCCK), visited His Excellency the President of Korea, Mr. Lee Jae-myung, accompanied by the General Secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), Rev. Prof. Dr. Jerry Pillay.

Also present at the visit were Mr. Peter Prove (WCC CCIA Director), Rev. Dr. Kim Hyo Jin (WCC Coordinator), Rev. Kim Jong Seng (General Secretary of the NCCK), Rev. Kim Young-geol (Presbyterian Church of Korea), Rev. Park Sang-kyu (Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea), and Bishop Park Dong-shin Onesimus (Anglican Church of Korea).

The discussions, which focused primarily on the reconciliation and reunification of South and North Korea, took place in a very positive atmosphere, with interesting views expressed toward resolving this longstanding issue that affects millions of people.
