On Saturday, May 31, 2026, Mr. Lee Jong-hee, a catechumen of the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea, and members of the Ilsan Art Association visited the Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Gapyeong.
The visitors showed great interest in the Orthodox icons and especially in the beautiful frescoes of the church. They received a brief explanation of the theology behind the holy Icons from the nun, Sister Agathi, inside the church. Afterwards, in the courtyard of the Monastery, the guests were offered sweets and refreshments.
The President of the Ilsan Art Association conveyed his sincere gratitude for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to them.
