On Saturday, November 8, 2025, Professor Seo Won-Mo, along with his students from the Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary, visited the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Seoul as part of an educational program introducing the Orthodox Church, titled “Orthodox Day.”
In his sermon during the Divine Liturgy, Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea—taking as his starting point the feast of the Synaxis of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel and the other Bodiless and Heavenly Angelic Orders—spoke about the joy of the Angels at the creation of the material world, at the Incarnation of the Word, and at the repentance of sinners. In conclusion, he posed the question of whether, through our faith and works, the Angels rejoice or grieve.
Afterward, in the Missionary Center’s hall, he elaborated on the themes of “repentance” and “joyful sorrow” in Orthodox tradition and answered the students’ questions.
