New Members in the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea

This year as well, before the great feast of the radiant Resurrection of our Lord, on Lazarus Saturday or Holy Saturday, a number of catechumens were counted worthy to become members of the Orthodox Church sojourning in Korea, through the holy mysteries of Baptism and Chrismation.

At Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Seoul, on Lazarus Saturday, April 4, 2026, thirteen male and female catechumens were “added to the Church” (Acts 2:41) during the baptismal Divine Liturgy, presided over by Metropolitan Ambrosios, with Fr. Roman Kavchak, Fr. Antonios Lim, and Deacon Christopher Jonker concelebrating.

After the baptismal Divine Liturgy, a communal Agape meal followed, during which the Metropolitan welcomed the newly illumined and wished them to live until their last breath in the light and joy of the Resurrection of Christ.
