The great cosmic and salvific events of the Holy Passion and Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ were celebrated in Japan as well, specifically in the cities of Tokyo (St. Alban’s Anglican-Episcopal Church), Nagoya (Chikaramachi Catholic Church), Okinawa (St. Nicholas), and Yokosuka (Chapel of Hope).
Priests Fr. Paul Koroluk, Fr. Andrew Kearns, and Fr. Vasyl Pokhylets strove to cover the liturgical and pastoral needs of the Orthodox Japanese, Ukrainians, Russians, Greeks, and English-speakers.
We extend our gratitude to the Anglican Archbishop in Tokyo, H.E. David Eisho Uehara, and to the Roman Catholic Bishop in Nagoya, H.G. Michael Goro Matsuura, for graciously offering their churches for the celebration of the sacred Services.
