During the morning service of Great Vespers and the Divine Liturgy, more than one hundred students from the Presbyterian University and Theological Seminary joined the Orthodox faithful, taking part in an introductory program on the Orthodox Church that the seminary organizes twice a year under the name “Orthodox Day.”
Many of the young men and women of the parish remained at the church throughout the day, working in preparation for the Resurrection service.
A large crowd filled the church and overflowed into the courtyard, with all remaining through the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy to receive the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Holding the Paschal eggs they had received from Metropolitan Ambrosios, the faithful made their way to the hall to take part in the Paschal Agape meal.
On Sunday morning, at 11:00 a.m., the Great Vespers of Agape was held, during which twenty native speakers read the Gospel lesson of the feast in their respective languages. The communal Paschal meal that followed in the churchyard drew more than four hundred people, enlivened by a performance from a traditional Korean music ensemble and hymns sung with dance by an Ethiopian group.
