Divine Liturgy at the 25th World Scout Jamboree

The 25th World Scout Jamboree was held in Saemangeum of Korea in the first week of August 2023, during which about forty thousand scouts participated. A large group of Orthodox scouts from many countries also participated in this. His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew sent a significant patriarchal Message to the International Link of Orthodox Christian Scouts DESMOS, which was read during the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 6th.

The Orthodox Metropolis of Korea, as the only canonical local Church of the Korean peninsula under the Ecumenical Patriarchate, participated with its staff members in the activities of the Religious Activity Center, specifically at the booth of the Orthodox Scouts Union DESMOS, to inform the scouts about the Orthodox Church. The Metropolis also organized a Divine Liturgy on the occasion of the feast of the Transfiguration of our Savior, in which more than two hundred scouts from twenty different countries participated.
