On Saturday, October 17, we held a ceremony to commemorate the Church of the Annunciation of the Holy Theotokos’ 40th anniversary of its mission. Although we mark this 40th anniversary from the date of the church’s consecration, the mission actually began in 1982, making it our 44th year.

The commemorative event took place at the Commodore Hotel. It began with a congratulatory message from the Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea, followed by remarks from Father Alexandros Han Eui-jong and the heads of various parish organizations. The program continued with celebratory performances prepared by the parishioners, and the gathering concluded with a delightful time of fellowship, featuring a buffet and the exchange of gifts.

Furthermore, inspired by the missionary zeal demonstrated by the late Metropolitan Sotirios, we resolved to follow in his footsteps and become evangelists who will continue to spread the Orthodox faith throughout Busan.
