From Friday to Sunday, September 23-25, the youth association, Syndesmos, held a retreat at the facilities of St. Boris in Chuncheon.
The central theme of the meeting was “The Medicine of Immortality”, which was developed through a series of talks.
During the three days, the participants had the opportunity to participate in the morning and evening Services and the Divine Liturgy on Sunday. Also on Saturday evening, after Great Vespers, they participated in the Sacrament of Holy Confession.
On Saturday after Orthros and breakfast, there was a lesson in making Prosphoron (Communion bread), which was used for the Holy Eucharist on Sunday.
The program included walks to the nearby mountain and lake, group games, hymns, and songs, as well as voluntary work for the preparation and cooking of the daily meals.
All participants agreed that the three days helped everyone spiritually and were an excellent opportunity for better communication between all the young adults, both faithful and catechumens, of the Orthodox Church in Korea.
