Volunteer Work by Slavonic Faithful at the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Kapyeong

On Sunday, December 10, 2023, a group of Slavic-speaking believers, along with Rev. Fr. Roman Kavchak visited the Holy Transfiguration Monastery in Gapyeong. In the morning, they participated in the Divine Liturgy and then a Trisagion Service was held at the tomb of the blessed Metropolitan Sotirios.

Afterwards, the participants had breakfast and started work inside and outside the Monastery. Specifically, they cleaned the Chapel, the interior of the building, as well as the courtyard of the Monastery. They also decorated the Christmas tree with the participation of young children.

After lunch they continued work until 5:30 p.m. and finally, late at night, they returned to Seoul.

Despite the many tasks to be completed, some pilgrims had the opportunity to devote some time to prayer inside the church.

Warm thanks go to all the Slavonic believers who worked with great zeal and effort for the embellishment of the Holy Monastery.
