On Friday, January 17, 2025, following the Divine Liturgy in honor of our holy Father Anthony the Great, which was held at the holy church of St. Maximos the Greek, and on Sunday, January 19 at the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Gapyeong, after the Holy Eucharist, the three-year memorial service of the late deaconess Maria Spyropoulou was celebrated.
Deaconess Maria served for twenty-five years in the Korean Orthodox Church as a close associate of the late Metropolitan Soterios. May her long sacrificial ministry in the Korean Orthodox Church remain alive in the hearts of the younger generations of Korean Orthodox. May the Risen Lord rest her soul in the Land of the Living and in the heavenly place of the Righteous.
