On Sunday, December 29, 2024, at the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Seoul, following the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy and the Agape meal, the Sacrament of Marriage of Ignatius (Igné Roux) and Lucia (Jocelyn Nunez) was celebrated with the participation of their friends, relatives, and members of Syndesmos of the Metropolis. The newlyweds became members of the Orthodox Church on Saturday, December 21, through the Sacraments of Baptism and Chrismation.
Father Antonios Lim and the Athonite hieromonk Father Epiphanios Gregoriatis officiated the sacrament during his visit to the Metropolis of Korea, with Christopher Jonker serving as the sponsor.
After the service, the newlyweds received warm congratulations from everyone. This was followed by a reception in the Metropolis hall with refreshments, where all shared in the joy of the newlywed couple in a festive atmosphere.
We pray that the newly born Lord blesses and strengthens them in their new life and that, with His blessings, their family may become a “home church”, fostering new saints within its embrace.
