On the weekend of December 16-17, 2023, Metropolitan Ambrosios visited the city of Ulsan for the feast day of the holy church of St. Dionysiοs.
On Saturday, December 16, the Metropolitan along with Fr. Yohan Park celebrated the Great Vespers with the Lete and Artoclasia(Breaking of the Bread). Following the Service of Vespers, parishioners attended the prepared Dinner in the Parish Hall and also had the opportunity to hear some short explanations by Metropolitan Ambrosios about the Sacrament of Confession.
On Sunday morning, the Service of Orthros (Matins) was held followed by the celebration of the Divine Liturgy, at the end of which the Metropolitan ordained by Cheirothesia (The Laying on of Hands) Rev. Fr. Yohan Park as Spiritual Confessor. The Metropolitan encouraged the faithful from now on to confess to him and to consult him on spiritual matters. Then followed the Litany with the procession of the icon of St. Dionysios around the church.
Afterwards, the faithful enjoyed a common meal of love and had the chance to closely communicate with one another. Finally, gifts were offered to all the Sunday school children for the celebration of the parish’s feast day as well as for the approaching Great Feast of Christmas.
