On the afternoon of Holy Saturday, April 27, Metropolitan Ambrosios, along with priests and faithful of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea, participated in the “DMZ 民 + 평화 손 잡기” “DMZ Peace Human Chain Movement”, a major event for the reunification and reconciliation of South and North Korea.
In this peaceful demonstration, five hundred thousand Koreans held hands and covered a distance of five hundred kilometers, merging horizontally and symbolically uniting one end to the other end the Korean peninsula.
Our wish and prayer is the end of the Korean War to be officially declared and peace to prevail in Korea, just as our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew wished during his 4th Official Visit to South Korea last December (3-8 / 12/2018).
