The keynote address was delivered by the General Secretary of the National Council of Churches in Korea (NCCK) Rev. Jong Saeng Kim. Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan, conveyed to the participants the paternal blessings of His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and stressed the need for Christian unity for the prevalence of love and peace in the world. He also referred to the great importance for the unity of Christians on the 1700th anniversary of the convening of the first Ecumenical Council in Nicea. Finally, he thanked everyone for their participation in the event.
Many people were impressed by the Byzantine icon depicting the Convocation of the first Ecumenical Council, which was used in the design of the poster and the cover of the leaflet with the text of the prayer and the program of the event.
