Pastoral visit to Japan

The Metropolitan of Korea and Exarch of Japan Ambrosios, accompanied by Father Roman Kavchak and Nicholas Pinatsis, visited Tokyo from February 22 to February 25.

During their stay there, they celebrated Sunday services at St. Alban’s Anglican Church. After the Divine Liturgy, a reception was organized in the church Hall for all the participants, and they had the opportunity to communicate with the faithful in an atmosphere of joy and love. On Monday morning, they participated in the Prayer for the cessation of the war in Ukraine and the repose of the souls of those killed on the battlefields on both sides. In the afternoon, they also participated in the rally to protest against the war in Ukraine and for peace and justice to prevail. During the aforementioned gatherings, the Metropolitan, in his speeches, conveyed the paternal blessings and benedictions of His All Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. He also delivered sermons of edification and exhortation.  

In addition, on Tuesday, the Metropolitan cooperated with several people for the better organization of the Orthodox Church in Japan under the Ecumenical Patriarchate.
