From August 18 to 24, a large group of Greeks traveled to Korea to get acquainted with the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea and Korean History and Culture. The excursion was organized by Fr. Dimetrios Maroulis with members of the Ecclesiastical Community of St. Philip Vlassarous (Athens).
The excursions toured museums, archaeological sites and sights of modern Korea and visited St. Nicholas Seoul Cathedral, St. Paul’s Church in Inchon and the Church of the Annunciation of the Theotokos in Busan where they had the opportunity to meet Orthodox clergy and lay people, to exchange views and enjoy the hospitality and love of the Korean Orthodox brothers and sisters.
Many of the visitors expressed their desire to contribute to the work of spreading the Orthodox Witness in Korea, and concrete proposals for cooperation have already begun to be launched in various fields.
