This year’s great feast of Pentecost was celebrated in all the Parishes of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea with the participation of many Orthodox faithful. At the Cathedral of Saint Nicholas in Seoul, during the holy Services of Saturday and Sunday, Metropolitan Ambrose was assisted by Fr. Martin Ritsi, Director of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC), Fr. Roman Kavchak, Father Antonios Lim and Deacon Yohan Park. Father Martin also delivered Sunday’s sermon immediately after the biblical Readings of the day.
Following the Divine Liturgy, the 8th International Food Festival took place in the Church yard. Nine countries in all (Korea, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, America, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania) participated in this interesting event.
The turnout of the inhabitants of the area was greater than in previous years, and it was particularly important to see many believers from neighboring heterodox churches. Due to the festival, many of the participants were given the opportunity to enter the Cathedral of Saint Nikolas for the first time, where Deacon Yohan Park guided them inside the Church and spoke to them about the Orthodox Church.
