On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Her Excellency Minister of Culture Ms. Lina Mendoni visited the headquarters of the Orthodox Metropolis of Korea.
The Minister was accompanied by the Ambassador of Greece in Seoul, Ms. Aikaterini Lupa, her advisor Ms. Anna Panagiotarea, the Director General of Antiquities and Cultural Heritage Dr. Olympia Vikatos, Mr. Vasilios Xiros, Diplomatic Attaché of the Ministry of Culture and other officials of the Ministry of Culture and of the Greek Embassy.
The Minister was shown the Cathedral of St. Nicholas in Seoul and the Holy Church of St. Maximοs the Greek, where Slavophone believers worship, as well as toured the Missionary Centre and the library of the Metropolis.
At the reception that followed in honor of Her Excellency, Metropolitan Ambrosios of Korea and Exarch of Japan conveyed the blessings and benedictions of His All Holiness the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, and had the opportunity to inform the Minister about the work of spreading Orthodox witness in Korea and Japan.
